How will power be provided?
Power will be supplied to each allotment via underground cabling. This includes access to 3-phase which may incur an additional connection cost.

Will street lighting be installed?
Solar powered lights will be provided at all major roadway intersections. These luminaries will generate power during sunlight hours, that will be fed into the electricity grid. When in operation the lights will withdraw power from the grid.

 

What is the water story?
A detailed study has been undertaken and an environmentally friendly and environmentally sustainable water management plan,
including the innovative Biolytix system has been adopted.

Will drinking water be available?
SA Water will provide a metered supply to storage tanks located on Point Boston. These holding tanks will distribute the water via underground pipes as a top up to rainwater tanks on individual allotments.

 

Is rain water catchment a requirement?
It is a planning requirement that each dwelling is to have a rainwater storage. The rainwater tank is to be of sufficient size so as to provide not less than 22,500 litres per bedroom. The reticulated SA Water supply will be available to top up rainwater tanks.
